Here's a message from Corine Dhondee:It's been a hell of a run up to today. For the past few days I've been chatting on skype late into the night with Jason, the co-producer in Canada. And then today, I got an early morning call from Peter, asking me to look online. Well, let's just say I jumped at the sun. It's such wonderful news and I agree absolutely with Peter, we could not have done this without your wonderful support.

Trumpeter and educator Jason Parker leads his own quartet lineup which claims to be one of the busiest bands in Seattle, as well as playing for a number of other local bands such as the interesting sounding Clave Nagila and Water Babies. Here's a link to 'Bashert', the opening track from his album 'No More No Less'. We may not know a lot about the Seattle jazz scene but judging by Jason's band it sounds pretty healthy!

If you find yourself heading North to the festival check out the Independent's Fringe Festival Favourite featuring Tomorrow's Warriors Zuri Jarrett-Boswell and Renell Shaw in a A Midsummer Night's Madness with the Hackney Harlem Theatre Company.
